I made the mistake of uploading my picture to myheritage.com to see which celebrity I look most like. A friend of mine did it and she got all sorts of beautiful young actresses. I thought it might be good for my ego to know I resemble somebody whose beauty is socially accepted and agreed upon.
I was wrong. Very, very wrong.
Apparently, 78 percent of my face looks like this old hag of a woman named Jeanne Moreau.
First of all, just look at her! Secondly, I never even heard of Jeanne Moreau. I don't even resemble a high-profile celebrity, the kind that gets all the big parts. I look like a supporting actress, or worse, an extra. An extra with yellowing teeth.
So I looked up Ms. Moreau and turns out she's a French actress. (She had a supporting role in Ever After with Drew Barrymore.) I suppose that should be a consoling thought, that I at least look like a French old hag. Somehow it doesn't make me feel any better.
Stupid celebrity look-alike crap.

Mandy you are gorgeous! what the heck are you talking about? I will not let you feel down about yourself. I don't think you look alike at all. In fact the only thing similar is the angle in which the photograph was shot. See? :)
Oh Mandy, you sly minx, you're just angling for the compliments you richly deserve. Like Kate says, you're gorgeous. And take a look at some pictures taken of Jeanne Moreau when she was closer to your age, when she was gorgeous in the same way you are, with a sort of mature sexiness. Try Jules et Jim, her first big movie splash, or Viva Maria, when she made Brigitte Bardot look like a rubber frog, or The Train when she was very attractive as a middle-aged woman saving Burt Lancaster, or Monte Walsh, where she was a french whore who charmed cowboy Lee Marvin.

p.s. just use different pics until you get the results you want. i found a pic that makes them say mandy moore! that's my fave cuz of zach braff's former involement with her etc. but seriously it's hogwash. oh january 23rd new shins album! i'm so excited!
