Valentine's Day Survey

A friend of mine filled out this survey on Myspace. I thought it was a nice little survey for Valentine's Day, so I filled it out too. My first Myspace survey. I hate to admit it was fun.

But then, as I was about to post it to the Myspace bulletin like Myspace survey-takers always do, I realized that everybody would see it, and I wondered why anybody would even care to read it. Did I really want to waste people's time with my love-life drivel?

So now I am posting it to my blog instead, where no one will ever read it and everyone's time is saved. That's my Valentine's Day gift to you.


How I Met Kevin

1. Where did you meet?
A bar/German deli in the middle of nowhere. I was there to see my roommate Jason's band. He was there to see his friend Jason's band. We were then forcefully introduced by our mutual friend Jason and his now wife, Danette.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
I actually had seen him a month before we officially met at another of Jason's band's gigs. He was late (of course), and when one of the band members saw Kevin walk through the door, he said, "Ahhh, the prodigal son." I looked over to see who it was, saw this cute guy in glasses and thought, "Hellloooo prodigal son." So that was my first thought about him. I asked Danette if the prodigal son was single, and then I forgot he existed. Until Danette and Jason forced me to meet him a month later.

3. Do you remember what he/she was wearing?
When I first saw him, he was wearing jeans that were too big for his skinny ass and this brown jacket type thing that made him look so...I don't know...effortlessly cool.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?
In his black Blazer, which was parked on Main Street. Yeah, we totally parked. On Main Street.

5. How did he/she ask you out?
He didn't. I had to call him. Wuss. But he asked me for my number first. He was real smooth about that.

6. Where did you go for your first date?
A local restaurant for dinner, after which he spilled his beer. Then we met up with Jason, Danette and friends to go to a party nearby.

7. How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
1 week

8. Has this person ever proposed to you?
No. But he will.

9. Do you and this person have kids together?
No. But we will.

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?
No. But we will.

11. When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?
I knew I wanted to get to know him better right after we were introduced and we started talking about Transformers. He took the conversation as seriously as I did. I knew I liked him when I started rambling and he never once looked bored; he was actually listening. I knew I was in love when one night we walked out of Barnes & Noble, and he took my hand and twirled me like a ballerina for no reason whatsoever.

12. Do you trust this person?
Yes, with my life, my heart and my ATM pin number.

13. Do you see your partner in your future?
Yes.

15. Whats the most expensive thing this person has given you?
Love is priceless. That and maybe a gift certificate to a spa. Fancy.

16. What is one thing he/she does that gets on your nerves?
He's always late because he has no idea how to manage his time. In other words, he's slow.

17. Whats the one thing that you do that gets on his/her nerves?
He never officially says what annoys him, but I'm betting it's when I nag at him for being too slow and making us late. He's teaching me patience.

18. Where do you see each other 15 years from now?
I dunno. I don't really care as long as he's there too. (Pathetic. True, but completely pathetic.)

No. I can't believe I reposted this.
